Former Chevrolet Dealership Found Frozen in Time
Vintage car collectors from around the world know that a few things can make or break an amazing car find. Those things include the condition of the vehicle both inside and out, as well as the number of miles the car has on it. A good interior/exterior combined with low miles on a vintage vehicles is a car collector’s dream. That’s why when an old Chevrolet dealership in Nebraska had been opened for the first time in decades, people got excited. Ford dealers in Cincinnati were astounded at what employees of an auction company found when they opened the doors to this time capsule.
500 vehicles were uncovered at Lambrechet Chevrolet’s dealership, including 50 “brand new” cars. Those included a Chevrolet Comeo pickup truck from 1956 with one mile on the old odometer, a Chevrolet Impala from 1964 with four miles, and a 1978 Corvette that boasts only four miles on its odometer. While these are just the highlights, many more cars and trucks were found – mostly still sporting the plastic wrap on their seats and the original window stickers. These gems will be looking like new once the dust is blown off the hood and a nice coat of shiny wax is applied.
An auction will take place in September, and those interested can purchase these vintage masterpieces, along with countless other low-mileage cars, a rare pedal car, and vintage advertising posters. Lucky for us car aficionados who couldn’t be there for the unveiling, a camera crew was there to capture it for us. Check out the video below to get a glimpse of this amazing collection!
