Driver Assistance

Every Trax model, regardless of trim, comes with the Chevy Safety Assist package of driver assistance technologies. This includes a Forward Collision Alert to warn you about a potential crash and Automatic Emergency Braking to help you avoid it. You also get Front Pedestrian Braking to help keep others safe too, plus Lane Keep Assist with a Lane Departure Warning to help you avoid veering from your lane while driving. A Following Distance Indicator is standard to alert you if you are too close to the vehicle ahead of you, while IntelliBeam auto high beams turn off automatically to avoid blinding oncoming drivers, then switch back on after passing.

You also get Chevy’s Teen Driver tool on every 2025 Trax, which encourages safe habits for new drivers; you can activate different features like limited music volume and other restrictions tied to a specific key fob for your teen driver. There is even an in-vehicle report card you can view to see how your teen is doing and discover areas you need to focus on to help them improve as a driver. Interior

When you first hear the phrase “Subcompact SUV,” you might picture something small and cramped, like a tiny compact car that someone slapped a rear hatch onto. Unfortunately, that is exactly what you will find sometimes—not all subcompact SUVs are created equally, and some of them are found lacking in key ways. The 2025 Chevy Trax, however, is not one of those and gives you plenty of room inside to enjoy despite its diminutive overall stature. This is perfect whether you are looking for something to use for your daily commute, running errands, dropping off and picking up kids at school or all of the above.

Passenger Spaciousness

Passenger space is important for any SUV, but for a subcompact model, you have to pay more attention to it. Chevy gets this, and the Trax gives you and your passengers plenty of space to stretch out and be comfortable. Up front, you get nearly 40 inches of headroom along with almost 42 inches of legroom, which is ideal when you and another adult are in the front seats. Passengers behind you will still have more than 38 inches of headroom and almost 39 inches of legroom; this is not quite as much as in the front, but it is quite spacious for a subcompact model like this. Overall, there is 98 cu.ft. of total passenger volume throughout the interior of the Trax for up to five people, ensuring everyone has room to exist comfortably.

Cargo Capabilities

One of the best reasons to choose an SUV is for the functionality it provides, and that largely comes down to being able to bring what you need with you. Nothing is better than loading up your SUV with supplies for a weekend of camping, having everyone pile in, and no one feeling cramped or stuffed between items. The 2025 Chevy Trax gives you more than 25 cu.ft. of rear cargo volume behind the back seats, ensuring you have plenty of room for shopping bags, luggage, and anything else you need to bring with you.
