  There are plenty of powertrains to choose from in both the 2025 Chevy Suburban and 2025 Ford Expedition's arsenals; however, the Suburban offers more. In addition to its standard 5.3L Ecotec3 V8 and available 6.2L Ecotec3 V8, you'll find the 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel, which not only allows you to tow up to 8,100 lbs but also helps you achieve outstanding fuel efficiency. This is much appreciated by busy parents shuttling their little ones all over town. Able to get an EPA-estimated 27 MPG on the highway, this impressive diesel is a great pick for those who are frequently carting their pack to baseball practice, pediatrician appointments, after-school events, and more.

  The Expedition is available with only two powertrain options. It comes standard with a 3.5L EcoBoost turbocharged V6, or there's an available High Output version to spice things up a bit. Unfortunately, the Expedition is not quite as efficient as the Suburban and its mighty diesel, only able to get an EPA-estimated 23 MPG with its standard engine. If you have many stops on your to-do list for the day, you'll need a vehicle that can keep up, which is exactly what you can expect from the Suburban.
