Since its 1953 debut at the New York Auto Show the Chevrolet Corvette has defined the American sports car. Through countless iterations and upgrades, this enviable auto has remained one of the fastest, sleekest and most iconic cars in the country. Now in 2019, there has truly never been a better time to become an owner of one of these historic vehicles. Chevy is offering four different models of the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette, each with its own unique style and performance specifications. Whether you want a more stylish way to get to the office or are looking to set new lap records on the track, the Corvette now has something for everyone. Let’s break down the current lineup to see what sets each one apart and hopefully find which model is the right fit for you.
The Corvette brand has always paid close attention to the detail and design of its legendary cars. Through decades of changes and updates to the classic layout, Chevrolet has always strived to maintain a consistent loyalty to the Corvette aesthetic and of course an impeccable attention to style and performance. The four models available in 2019 all offer a slightly different take on the latest iteration of the Corvette, each one catering to different preferences and styles.
Introduced in 1963, the Corvette Stingray has a legacy of representing forward-thinking and modern design sensibilities at Chevrolet. The 2019 Stingray carries the same philosophy into the modern era, providing a casual and affordable Corvette model with a sleek, cutting-edge convertible design. Chevy specifically tailored the unique design of the 2019 Stingray around the convertible aspects of the car. Its sleek form and aerodynamic features help this car to look and perform great regardless of whether you prefer the top up or down. The inside of the vehicle was designed with the driver in mind, using a comfortable layout and premium materials. The available leather seating and suede microfiber accents will help you stay cool and comfortable, even at high speeds. The Stingray is available in three different options depending on your preference of accessories and features.
The next entry in the 2019 line is the Corvette Grand Sport. This model provides the power of the LT1 V8 engine and the aerodynamic components of the Z06, resulting in an astounding combination of power and handling. The Grand Sport offers the Grans Sport Heritage Package, which allows the buyer high levels of personalization. The available center stripe and hash mark fender graphics both have six color options each, providing you with a wide range of personalization. With a car that looks this good, why wouldn’t you want to make it your own?
Chevrolet advertises the Z06 as the ultimate driver’s car, and it’s easy to see why. Developed alongside the C7.R race car, the Z06 provides track power in a road package. The large fenders and wide wheels provide superior stability at high speeds and around corners. It also features large front intake vents that provide cooling air to the brakes, transmission, and engine. The Grand Sport features a comfortable interior with standard GT bucket seats and available competition sport seats with pronounced side bolsters for keeping comfortable on those tight corners. This car offers the convertible option and also comes in three distinct models, depending on your preference of amenities.
The last entry in the 2019 lineup is the Corvette ZR1. Boasting 755 HP and 716 torque, the R1 is the Corvette brand at its peak. A luxurious supercar that is at once incredibly powerful and completely comfortable, this vehicle sets a new standard for what an American supercar can be, period. This ZR1 features huge front intake vents, an aerodynamic design, and a rear spoiler, making it one of the most ambitious Corvette designs ever. The two interior configurations offer leather seating, microfiber inserts, and unique ZR1 branding. It also offers an array of Corvette interior color options, leather-wrapped steering wheel with a carbon-fiber rim, premium audio and more. If you want the peak of Corvette design, look no further.
