SUVs are one of the most versatile models on the market. They can handle daily driving, some towing, and even heading off the pavement for some adventure. SUVs come in all kinds of sizes, but we think that small SUVs might be the best of all worlds, with easy to maneuver sizes and advanced capabilities. You need something that is spacious, fun, affordable, and efficient, and that is exactly what you will get with the 2023 Chevy Trailblazer.

The Trailblazer's look has been refined for the 2023 model year, giving it a sharper, more vibrant appearance, and its generous interior space is almost as efficient as its fuel economy. The Trailblazer is a perfect SUV for young families who want to move up to something bigger but don’t yet need the biggest. It puts itself in an excellent position to serve families by focusing on offering effective and safe performance, capability, flexible spatial layout and design, and premium connectivity technology. If you need a vehicle that can handle your daily commute, your family adventures, and everything in between, then you need to check out the 2023 Chevy Trailblazer.

  • Performance

    The Right Amount of Performance

Performance capability is not only important for car enthusiasts trying to get the biggest and baddest specs. Having the right performance capabilities is vital to your car’s ability to handle the elements, especially in severe driving conditions like we can sometimes experience here in Ohio. The 2023 Chevy Trailblazer is uniquely designed to handle more than just the occasional pothole on a paved road.

The 2023 Trailblazer is powered by the EcoTec turbo engine and is standard in the 1.2-liter size but is also available in the 1.3-liter size. Now, because these are not large engines, the Trailblazer isn’t necessarily built to offer the roadrunner specs you’d expect to find in a sports car like the Corvette, but it does offer 155 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque with the 1.3-liter engine, which is just about perfect for family-oriented driving. If you do get the smaller 1.2L, you will still see respectable outputs of 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque.

    All-Wheel Flexibility

One of the big draws of the Trailblazer is the fact that you can get it with all-wheel drive, which is essential for dealing with winter here in Cincinnati. The 1.2L I-3 engine is only available with front-wheel drive, so you'll want to go for the larger 1.3L I-3 engine to get all-wheel drive. Whereas front-wheel drive, which is standard, sends torque only to the front wheels, all-wheel drive sends torque between all four wheels as needed to make sure that the car is working as hard as possible in any road conditions.

All-wheel drive is especially helpful in more treacherous conditions like heavy snow or mud. If the roads are slippery, you want to make sure that your vehicle is working hard to keep good traction and therefore keep you and your family safe. In that regard, the Trailblazer’s drive modes are a tremendous help in a variety of conditions. You get three available modes: Normal, All-Wheel Drive, and Sport. For front-wheel drive models, the All-Wheel Drive mode is replaced by a Snow mode. With options like this, you can adjust your vehicle’s performance to accommodate the circumstances at hand.

This kind of flexibility ensures that your family is always safe, and it also ensures that the vehicle lasts as long as possible. If a car is constantly being thrown into situations for which it is not properly equipped, the life of your vehicle can be drastically reduced, which can also diminish the resale value of your SUV. However, having modes like the 2023 Trailblazer allows your vehicle to equip itself for all kinds of conditions and give less when less is required while giving more when more is required. You’ll feel better about driving with the assurance that it comes with all-wheel drive and drive modes to make driving easier, safer, and more enjoyable.

An SUV That Can Adapt to Your Needs

Families need space, but families also need flexibility because there are all kinds of activities that may require more seating, more cargo, and all sorts of combinations in between. The 2023 Chevy Trailblazer capitalizes on its small SUV architecture to maximize interior space. It crafts the perfect balance for young families by providing flexibility with seating and storage.

The Trailblazer seats five quite comfortably. However, when you need to haul a lot of cargo, you can fold down the rear seats to gain up to 54.4 cubic feet of space. This may not sound like much, but consider that most sedans offer around 15 cubic feet of cargo space. So, the Trailblazer offers almost four times as much cargo space as the Malibu! Having this kind of cargo space is fantastic. If you’re trying to haul a load for an at-home DIY project without the kids, you can flip the seats down, and you’ve got yourself a cargo hauler for the day. While you can’t have all the seating and all the cargo space all at once, even with the seats up, you’ll still have significantly more cargo space than a sedan (25.3 cubic feet).

While the Trailblazer doesn't have the passenger space of a full-size SUV, it uses its smaller architecture wisely to maximize interior space. So, if everyone is in the car, they’ll all be comfortable, but if it’s just you, then you’ve got a great amount of space for whatever the load of the day may be.

    Fun Styling

The RS and ACTIV trims offer sportier design features, meaning the car makes for a great date night vehicle and an enjoyable ride for mom and dad, even when the kids aren’t with you. Even the exterior is looking a little bit sportier for 2023 with some new color options, namely Nitro Yellow Metallic and Fountain Blue. The Nitro Yellow, especially, gives the car a really sharp, fun, and sleek look. Yellow may not be the ordinary car color, but then again, the Trailblazer is no ordinary SUV. The Trailblazer comes with a two-tone design, so the roof will contrast with the body color, making for a fun look that will stand out on the roads of Cincinnati.

  • Technology

All the Latest Tech for You to Enjoy

Infotainment technology has a significant impact on your family’s experience while in the car. The opportunity to share music, podcasts, audiobooks, and anything else you all enjoy listening to can be a great bonding experience, but it can lead to a great deal of driver distraction when such connectivity is not properly integrated and the driver has to manage media output while also driving. The 2023 Chevy Trailblazer, however, has crafted a well-integrated infotainment technology package in order to make sure that everyone in the car can share media while having a safe ride.

Of course, the connectivity technology finds its home in the Trailblazer’s infotainment center, which comes as a standard seven-inch screen but can be upgraded to an eight-inch screen in the LT, ACTIV, and RS trims. This infotainment center, of course, offers on-screen navigation, which is a huge help in keeping the driver on track while keeping their eyes on the road and not down on a mobile device.

Speaking of mobile devices, there really is no need to look at those when you’ve got Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. These systems integrate your mobile device with the Trailblazer’s infotainment screen, so your infotainment screen essentially becomes your phone’s home screen. You can access your messages, phone, music, podcasts, audiobooks, and other favorite apps all from your infotainment screen while your phone remains out of sight. While it’s out of sight, you can make sure that it keeps charged with available wireless charging in the ACTIV and RS trims.

These kinds of innovative technology features make the drive easier, safer, and also more enjoyable. Distraction very rarely leads to enjoyable experiences, so don’t get caught up in the distractions and enjoy the ride with your family. The 2023 Trailblazer makes it easy.
