As every manufacturer commits to hitting zero-emission deadlines, there is no denying that the future of the auto industry will be electric. Chevy is one of the leaders in this charge toward an all-electric future, and they continue to unveil new and exciting options that we will be enjoying for many years to come. Among their recent announcements is the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV, the first electric vehicle in a line that’s sure to excite customers in need of a roomy but efficient SUV.
Not only does it provide a stylish interior with plenty of great comfort and technology features, but it has stunning performance that makes it fun to drive and practical for a wide range of drivers.
Performance and electric range with the Blazer EV will depend on the model you choose; four different trims have been announced, each providing a fantastic driving experience. The standard 1LT trim will have an estimated range of up to 247 miles from a full charge, while the RS tops out at an estimated 320 miles of driving distance with a fully-charged battery. All Chevy Blazer EV models will be easy to charge with support for both at-home charging and DC fast-charging to get you back on the road in no time. If you want a truly heart-pounding driving experience, then the Blazer EV SS trim will pack sports-car performance into its SUV body to create an unbeatable combination.
Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard on the starting trim, though other options will have all-wheel drive (AWD) available with a pair of motors to boost performance even higher. Inside the Blazer EV, you will find an incredible selection of advanced technologies, including a standard 17.7-inch touchscreen display that looks absolutely stunning and provides you with navigation functionally and other features. You also get an 11-inch Driver Information Center that displays all of the data and gauges you need as the driver. The Chevy Blazer EV will also have some of the most impressive safety features and technologies on the road, including GM’s innovative Super Cruise hands-free driving system.

One of the most exciting things about the shift toward an all-electric lineup we see in the auto industry is the bold performance that upcoming models will deliver. The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV is the perfect example of this as there are numerous configurations available with different battery and motor setups between them. In much the same way you have been able to choose a conventional vehicle and get a variety of engine options, the Blazer EV has a number of options for you to choose from that dictate the sort of power you get from it. No matter which you choose, however, you are going to get an exhilarating driving experience that delivers a more joyful drive than you might expect from an SUV.
There are four different trims for the Blazer EV, and the trim you choose will impact the kind of performance you get, though they are all quite impressive. Starting off with the 1LT trim, you get a single-motor setup with FWD and up to 247 miles of range from a full charge. If you choose the 2LT trim, you get FWD standard, but a dual-motor AWD configuration is available, with up to 293 miles of range from a full charge. For the best overall range, you can choose the RS trim, which can travel an estimated 320 miles and can be optioned with FWD, RWD, or AWD.
The fourth trim of the Blazer EV is the one to look at if heart-pounding excitement is what you want––the SS trim is set to live up to its legendary name in terms of speed and power. With the SS trim, you get AWD standard, and it has an estimated 290 miles of range from a full charge; not as much as the RS, but the trade-off is raw performance. The SS features an exclusive propulsion configuration that delivers 557 hp and 648 lb-ft of torque with Chevy’s Wide Open Watts mode, which is essentially a sustained electric launch system. This allows the Blazer EV SS to go from 0 to 60 in less than 4.0 seconds, while front Brembo brakes and a sport-tuned chassis keep you in control at all times.
You would expect an all-new vehicle like the Chevy Blazer EV to have the best that Chevy offers inside, and you would be right. Interior features will depend on the trim level you choose, of course, and we do not yet have every possible detail, but what we do know is a lot to get excited about. The spacious interior will feature comfortable seating with luxurious options at high trims, though every model will be comfortable and well-appointed with impressive technology and sleek details.
One of the most remarkable things about the interior of the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV is that every model will come with a monstrous 17.7-inch color infotainment display in the center stack. The screen is slightly angled toward the driver, so you can get the most from it, and features button controls along the left side and bottom of the display. This means you get a large screen that is easy to view while driving, with controls that are tactile and simple to operate without taking your eyes off the road. In addition, every Blazer EV model also comes with an 11-inch Driver Information Center to provide you with all the data and gauges you need while behind the wheel.
Additional luxury features and options will depend on the trim level you choose, as you would expect in a modern SUV. The RS and SS trims feature heated and ventilated front seats to help you and your front passenger stay as comfortable as possible, while the SS features standard heated rear outboard seats for your passengers. You also get a heated, flat-bottom steering wheel in the RS and SS trims, which makes steering comfortable and easy while reminding you of the sports car performance under your control. You can leave cords behind as the Blazer EV supports Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus has a wireless charging pad for compatible devices.
One of the most exciting things about the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV is how well this all-electric SUV will help keep you and your loved ones safe. For starters, every Blazer EV model comes with the Chevy Safety Assist suite standard, which is a package of six advanced safety features designed to help protect you on the road. This includes automatic emergency braking to help you avoid a crash and front pedestrian braking that can assist in avoiding pedestrians who suddenly step in front of you. You also get a lane keep assist system with a lane departure warning, alerting you if you are drifting from your lane and helping you correct it.
The Chevy Safety Assist package also includes a forward collision alert to warn you when a potential crash is detected, as well as IntelliBeam automatic high beams. These lights will come on automatically under dark conditions and shut off automatically when oncoming traffic is detected to avoid blinding other drivers. You also get the following distance indicator in every Blazer EV, which will warn you when you are too close to the car in front of you.
Perhaps most exciting of all, however, is that the Chevy Blazer EV will feature GM’s innovative Super Cruise technology. Super Cruise is a hands-free driving system that allows you to take your hands off the wheel and let the car do most of the work for you while on the road. So far, there are more than 200,000 miles of compatible roads across the US and Canada that function with Super Cruise technology, with more being added regularly. You still have to pay attention to the road, but this driver assistance tech can make long road trips and daily commutes a lot more enjoyable.
