Few vehicles have earned their names quite like the Chevy Blazer. This midsize SUV has fiery lines and a smoking design that helps it stand out among all other two-row midsize SUVs; it's the perfect vehicle for drivers who want something larger than a compact crossover but don’t want the bulk of a full-size model. As such, the Blazer is great for commuters and families alike.
Since its introduction in 2019, this model has undergone a number of improvements, culminating in the brilliant 2024 Chevy Blazer. Keeping to its name, Chevy has decided to gift heated seats as a standard feature to all four trims of this model. Also, for those who want to ice this heat, the Blazer can now come with an exterior paint color of Riptide Blue Metallic.
Even with these changes, Chevy has decided to carry over the features that proved so popular with the prior year’s Blazer. For example, the 2024 Blazer will also feature the same trims, which range from the entry-level 2LT and 3LT to the sporty RS and stylish Premier. Drivers can also opt for the Redline, Midnight, or Sport Edition to the 2024 Blazer 2LT and 3LT trims; these add larger wheels, a specialized grille, and other exterior appearance features to personalize your Blazer, taking an already flaming model and setting it ablaze.

Chevrolet understands that no two drivers are the same, which is why the 2024 Chevy Blazer comes with two different engines, and you can go for one or the other depending on the trim you choose.
The base engine is a gas-powered 2.0L Turbo I-4 that comes standard on the 2LT, 3LT, and Premier trims. It has a dual overhead camshaft configuration (DOHC) with 16 valves for its four cylinders, features variable valve timing to improve efficient performance, and boasts Stop/Start technology, which automatically turns off the engine when you come to a stop at a red light or in a traffic jam and will restart as soon as you release pressure on the brake pedal; this will help you improve fuel economy and reduce emissions. The I-4 uses a turbocharger and spark ignition direct fuel injection to deliver 228 hp at 5000 RPM and 258 lb-ft of torque at 1500-4000 RPM.
You can also opt for a 3.6L V6 gas engine, which comes standard on the RS trim and is available on the 3LT and Premier. This engine also has a DOHC configuration, with 24 valves for its six cylinders. Like the Turbo I-4, it features variable valve timing, Stop/Start technology, and spark ignition direct fuel injection. This engine produces up to 308 hp at 6700 RPM and 270 lb-ft of torque at 5000 RPM in output.
The 2.0L Turbo I-4 comes paired with a Hydra-Matic 9T60 nine-speed automatic transmission, while the 3.6L V6 features a Hydra-Matic 9T65 nine-speed automatic transmission. No matter which engine you choose, you will get an electronically controlled overdrive and driver shift control for exceptional command of your 2024 Chevy Blazer.
The 2024 Chevy Blazer has solid fuel efficiency for a vehicle of its size. Depending on which powertrain you choose, you can get some great fuel economy numbers. The most efficient configuration is the front-wheel drive Blazer with the 2.0L Turbo I-4, which will give you up to 25 MPG combined. Opting for the same configuration with available all-wheel drive will give you improved traction and 24 MPG combined.
The Blazer with the larger 3.6L V6 delivers better acceleration, able to go from zero to sixty in just 6.6 seconds with a top speed of 130 mph. However, this blazing speed comes at the expense of fuel economy, with the front-wheel drive 3.6L V6 configuration providing up to 22 MPG combined; this drops slightly to 21 MPG combined when you opt for all-wheel drive.
One of the more surprising things about the 2024 Blazer is its ability to tow sizable trailers. If you choose the Blazer with the 2.0L Turbo I-4, you can tow up to 3,250 lbs. Opting for the available 3.6L V6 increases the trailering capability to an impressive 4,500 lbs.
Passenger safety is a major focus of Chevrolet, whose goal is to protect you and your passengers no matter the trim you choose—hence, the 2024 Blazer comes equipped with the Chevy Safety Assist suite of six advanced driver assistance features. These work together to help you avoid accidents and reduce the impact of unavoidable collisions, which is part of why the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the 2024 Chevy Blazer a five-star rating.
The Following Distance Indicator will let you know if you are getting too close to the vehicle in front of you; when this occurs, you should increase the distance. If Forward Collision Alert detects an imminent front-end collision, it will give you time to take evasive action and engage Automatic Emergency Braking to either bring your Blazer to a stop—avoiding a collision—or reduce imminent damages.
The standard IntelliBeam automatic high beams make driving at night much safer, as it will automatically turn your high beams on when you enter an area with significantly low light. Once the lighting improves—or if the system detects another motorist—it will turn the high beams off. One of the biggest causes of highway accidents is distracted driving. If you begin to drift out of your lane, Lane Departure Warning will let you know, while Lane Keep Assist uses a set of slight steering adjustments to get you safely back to the center.
Other driver assistance features are offered on the 2024 Blazer, like Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert. These also help improve driver safety by adjusting your cruise control speed and alerting you to any traffic in adjacent lanes when you go to change lanes. These come standard on the 3LT, RS, and Premier trims and are an option on the Blazer 2LT.
The 2024 Chevy Blazer features the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system with a 10.2-inch HD color touchscreen on every trim. The Blazer 2LT and 3LT trims have the Plus system, while the RS and Premier trims add a connected navigation system as part of the Premium system. No matter which you choose, you will get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, so you can stay connected even if you’ve forgotten your phone’s charging cables at home; this will allow you to make hands-free calls and texts while streaming from your phone.
Imagine enjoying your favorite music over the standard six-speaker sound system on the 2LT and 3LT trims. If you really love music, you might opt for the Blazer RS or Premier, which feature a Bose premium audio system with eight speakers strategically located throughout the cabin. The 2024 Chevy Blazer also comes with a complimentary three-month subscription to SiriusXM, giving you even more entertainment options.
Chevy has equipped the Blazer RS and Premier trims with a wireless charging pad, which will help you and your passengers stay charged when out on the road. This feature is also available as an option on the 2LT and 3LT trims. Your Blazer is also Wi-Fi hotspot capable, so you can stay connected no matter where your Blazer takes you.
The 2024 Chevy Blazer features a very spacious interior. In fact, there is 107.8 cu.ft. of passenger space spread across the Blazer’s two rows, providing plenty of room for up to five passengers. The designers at Chevrolet have done a great job apportioning the space here; for example, front-row passengers will enjoy 39.8 inches of headroom and 41.0 inches of legroom, while those in the back can stretch out with 38.6 inches of headroom and 39.6 inches of legroom.
One of the newest features of the Blazer is heated front-row seats, which are now a standard feature on all trims and will come in handy on cold mornings, allowing you and your front-seat passenger to stay warm. The driver’s seat on the 2024 Blazer is eight-way power-adjustable, too, which will allow you to set your perfect posture. It also has a two-way power lumbar adjustment to keep you comfortable, especially on long drives.
No matter which trim you choose, you'll have a comfortable and luxurious interior. The 2LT boasts premium cloth seats, while the 3LT, RS, and Premier feature perforated leather. The Blazer RS has a jet-black interior with red accents and available nightshift blue accents—a new treatment on the RS trim. The Premier comes with a choice of suede microfiber accents in either jet black or a combination of jet black and maple sugar.
The Blazer provides plenty of trunk space, so you don’t have to choose between passenger capacity and cargo space. The liftgate opens to a cavernous 30.5 cu.ft. of space, which is more than enough for five passengers’ belongings. If you need more room, you can fold down the rear row to free up an incredible 64.2 cu.ft.
