Who doesn’t love a Corvette?

Fast, sleek, and luxurious – the Corvette has been a symbol of the ultimate sports car since its introduction in 1953. With two new models of the 2016 Chevy Corvette now available, you can have your pick – luxurious precision, or total raw power?

2016 Corvette Stingray
First up is the new 2016 Corvette Stingray. A paragon of performance and beautifully detailed, this model brings the power of the racetrack and the fun of daily driving into one powerful machine. Available in a 2-door hatchback coupe with a removable roof panel or a 2-door convertible, the Corvette Stingray features a 460 horsepower V8 engine, capable of reaching a max torque of 465 lbs/f and can go 0-60 in just 3.7 seconds.

Bi-Xenon HID headlamps, Edge-lit LED turn signals and a high-mounted stop lamp on an aerodynamic rear spoiler give the Stingray a sharp elegance that won’t be missed on the road. With a hands-free electric drop-top capable of opening even at 30 mph, you’ll be seen too.

Perhaps what makes the Stingray so impressive is its impeccable aerodynamic design. For optimal flow of cool air, Chevy designed a functional Hood Air Extractor with precise angles. This helps decrease lift and increase downforce to improve handling at high speeds.

The Stingray is also designed to reduce its own temperature during high-speed driving by using a powertrain cooling system to guide airflow onto two separate heat exchangers. The optional Z51 Performance package further includes dual brake ducts, the airflow through which help cool the front brakes and improve stopping at high speeds.

With so much attention paid to detail, the Stingray is the perfect sport vehicle for the casual racer who still wants to enjoy regular use. And, starting at $55,400, it holds firm within the reasonable price range for such an impressive vehicle.

2016 Corvette Z06
Alongside the Stingray, Chevy has released the 2016 Corvette Z06 – a highly impressive, superpowered racing machine. If you’re looking to really move, this is the car you need.

Boasting a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine capable of a whopping 650 horsepower and 650 lbs/ft of torque, this is not a car for someone looking to go slow. Built from a lightweight, rigid aluminum space frame, the Corvette Z06 features Direct Injection, Active Fuel Management, and Continuously Variable Valve Timing to make it not only exceptionally powerful but efficient as well.

The standard Z06 comes with Michelin Pilot Super-Sport ZP summer-only tires or, with the suped-out Z07 package, with the Super-Sport 2 ZP tires for improved grip and handling. This, combined with two-piece 14.4-inch/14.6-inch steel rotors and huge 15.5-inch/15.3-inch Brembo brakes make stopping just about as easy as taking off.

Consumers can also find the Z06 in a Carbon-Fiber Aero package designed with a carbon-fiber front splitter and carbon-fiber rocker plates to maximize aerodynamic travel and reduce drag. And, in either black or visible carbon-fiber finish, it looks pretty awesome too.

For the true supercar lover in your life, consider checking out these Corvettes – it’s unlikely that you won’t be impressed with what you see when you do.
