3 Chevys get Ranked High in Initial Quality Study

The 2014 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study results were just released, and Chevrolet ranked the highest in three different categories. The Chevy Malibu, Suburban, and Silverado HD ranked highest in the Midsize Car, Large SUV, and Large Heavy Duty Pickup Segments by J.D. Power & Associates. This is the second consecutive year that the Silverado HD took the top spot in the Large Heavy Duty segment.

The Camaro, Equinox, and Tahoe finished in the same study in the top three of their segments. According to The U.S. Vice President for Chevrolet, Brian Sweeney, Chevrolet’s main focus is on the customer and producing top quality products. It looks like the bowtie brand is right on point for doing exactly that.

The Initial Quality Study takes responses of more than 86,000 lessees and purchasers of new 2014 model year vehicles, through a 90-day ownership survey. More than just collecting data and handing out accolades, J.D. Power also provides feedback to manufacturers to make improvements where necessary.
