Chevrolet’s 2014 Cruze Clean Turbo Diesel model has long been anticipated by consumers and the automobile industry since Chevrolet announced their decision to enter into the clean diesel technology market months ago. Bosch makes a fuel-injection system, engine control module, exhaust treatment technology, ceramic glow plugs, and sensors for the Chevrolet Cruze. Regional president of Bosch Bernd Boisten says that, “With this compact sedan, Chevrolet is demonstrating its trust in the many benefits this technology provides, including increased fuel efficiency, superior driving range. We are thrilled to see Chevrolet bringing a clean diesel into the U.S. market now and thus further increasing choices for consumers.”

Chevrolet chose the Cruze for its clean diesel model based on its past performance in the North American market, selling more than 280,000 of its model last year alone. The addition of the Cruze Diesel to the Chevrolet family of vehicles is giving consumers another smart choice in a quality compact car, all while offering its impressive 151 horsepower engine and 264 lb-ft of torque. The technology that Bosch is providing for the vehicle will build on the Cruze’s already great fuel economy and safety that the compact car is known for.
