Chevrolet Introduces Three New Cars at SEMA
Despite McCluskey Chevrolet being a Chevy dealer in Ohio for over 40 years, we still get excited seeing all the new cars that are introduced each year. After all, those new cars will become used cars on our lot in another year or so.
We were especially excited to hear about the three new designs that Chevrolet unveiled at the SEMA show in Las Vegas last week. The three new designs are the Silverado High Desert, Suburban Premium Outdoors, and the Tahoe Premium Outdoors. These new models will expand the already exceptional line of SUVs and full-size pickup trucks for which Chevy is known.
The Silverado High Desert design is based on that of the Silverado High Country crew cab. It will have the same storage system in the bed of the truck, with locks for security. It will also have a sport bar with a stop lamp and cargo bed lighting. However, it will get new, unique features, such as halogen headlights, a chrome grille and bumpers the same color as the exterior. The paint will be Deepwood Green with gold and Russet accents.
The Interior of the High Desert will be saddle brown leather, and it will include heated and cooled seats.
Other features rounding out the High Desert include six-piston front brakes, 22-inch aluminum wheels, and a 6.2-liter, V8 engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Tahoe Premium Outdoors is based on last year’s LTZ four-wheel drive model, but it gets an updated look. The exterior color is called “Black Ice,” and the door handles and front feature matching colors. Other features include a grill insert with the name, 22-inch aluminum wheels and retractable running boards. The interior is a mix of black and brown leather with blue piping.
The engine is a 5.3-liter V8 and has 355 horse power. It includes an innovative exhaust system with a chrome tip.
The new Chevrolet Suburban Premium Outdoors has an exterior in “Pepperdust,” include door handles and a front in the same color. On older models, these accents were chrome. Inside, it has similar brown leather seats but with mustard piping.
One of the most attractive features of the new Premium Outdoors is the tailgating package, which includes an HD television, a table and benches. The table and benches are made of wood reclaimed from old Detroit homes.
The engine is a 6.2-liter V8 and has 420 horse power.
We may not get a chance to see one of these new concepts at McCluskey Chevrolet for a couple years, but we’re excited to spot these beauties on the road. In the meantime, we encourage you to stop in and browse some of the best used cars Cincinnati has to offer.
