Chevrolet Unveils New Cars before SEMA
McCluskey may sell some of the best used cars in Cincinnati, Ohio, but we also like to stay abreast of what’s new for Chevy so we know about the latest innovations in the automotive industry. It also helps to know what we can expect to see in our used cars inventory in the next year or so.
We were very excited to see some of the new concepts that Chevrolet released ahead of its attendance at the Specialty Market Equipment Association, or SEMA, show, which is scheduled to take place Nov. 4-7 in Las Vegas. Chevy released five new concepts: The SS Sport, Sonic Performance, Sonic Accessories, Impala Blackout, and the Cruze RS Plus.
Chevrolet SS Sport
The SS Sport is a sporty coupe that has a special red finish, black stripes and black wheels. Other design features include
Holden badges on the rims, floor mats and interior cargo tray. Sports pedals have replaced the standard pedals.
The engine is a V8 with 415 horsepower and comes with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
Sonic Performance and Sonic Accessories
Both new Sonic vehicles are hatchbacks, and both offer an array of impressive features.
The Sonic Performance has sports suspension for better handling, and features cold-air induction, a free-flow exhaust and bigger wheels, leading to better performance. This may look like a modest hatchback, but the car drives like a sporty coupe.
The Sonic Accessories is an actual car, not the name of an upgrade package. It looks a lot like the Performance, but it has a black grille surround, rear spoiler, and white surrounds on the head and tail lights. Inside, a boosted subwoofer system creates exceptional sound for the radio system.
Impala Blackout
It’s looking to be a big year for the Impala, since Chevy also announced production of a new Imapala that will run on biofuel. The Impala Blackout is just what it sounds like: A version of the Impala that’s all in black. It has a black paint job, black headlight surrounds, black leather interior and more. The whole car is designed in black.
It also has a V6 engine with 305 horsepower.
Cruze RS Plus
The Cruze RS Plus has a lot of updated features, like a custom rear spoiler, chrome-lined dash instruments, and a boosted subwoofer and amplifer. The car features a unique orange metallic paint job and black racing stripes. This car is sure to get noticed on the road.
We can’t wait to see these cars out on the road once they’ve been released for sale. In the meantime, if you are looking for a new vehicle, consider shopping McCluskey Chevrolet, one of the top suppliers of used cars in Cincinnati, Ohio.
