From the economic Spark to the full-size Impala, you can’t go wrong with any of these options. Since 2021 is bringing new energy, then why not start off the year with a brand new or used Chevy car? Loaded with the most advanced features and technology, you’ll be hard-pressed to find something you don’t love about these vehicles. So, without any further ado, let’s take a peek at the latest Chevy car lineup.
2021 Spark
As one of the most economical cars on the market, the new 2021 Chevy Spark is one of the few remaining subcompact hatchbacks available. Most automakers have switched their focus to designing a bunch of compact crossovers, but the engineers at Chevrolet understand that a lot of people have a need for a petite model like the Spark. Not only is it great on gas, but it’s also perfect for parking in tiny spots in the big city.
The new Spark is powered by a 1.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates 98 hp and 94 lb-ft of torque, and you can choose between a 5-speed manual transmission or the continuously variable transmission. With a fuel economy rated at 33 MPG combined (30 city/38 highway), you won’t have to worry about stopping for gas on your way to work.
Drivers can find the Spark in one of four available trims. The base LS trim comes with a manual transmission, but that doesn’t mean that it is bare bones. This vehicle’s infotainment system is displayed on a 7-inch touchscreen. Operating with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, you can make calls, send texts, listen to music, and use apps. Bluetooth connectivity is also included as well as dual USB ports. Plus, the 4-speaker stereo and 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot tie the whole trim together.
Next, the 1LT trim has 15-inch alloy wheels and adds power locking windows and doors. Cruise control has also been installed along with remote keyless entry and a 6-speaker stereo. If you are looking for something sportier, then the Activ may be your best bet. Foglights have been added for optimized visibility, and roof rails help you bring along everything you need for a road trip. With simulated leather upholstery and heated front seats, the upgraded cabin is more luxurious. Plus, the revised suspension gives the vehicle 0.4-inches of extra ground clearance.
Finally, the top-tier 2LT trim adds push-button start technology and chrome interior accents for a more futuristic feel. Rear parking sensors have also been included to assist with tight spaces. If you would like additional safety systems, then you can add the Driver Confidence package into the mix. This includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane-departure warning.
2020 Sonic
If you are looking for a compact sedan, then the 2020 Chevy Sonic is a solid pick. Powered by a turbocharged 1.4-liter 4-cylinder engine, this powertrain produces 138 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with FWD and a 6-speed automatic transmission, you can expect to enjoy a fuel economy of around 29 MPG combined (26 city/34 highway).
The base LS sedan rides on 15-inch steel wheels and comes with manual accessories similar to the Spark. However, it does get upgraded automatic headlights and LED daytime running lamps. As for the interior, you will find the same infotainment system displayed on a 7-inch touchscreen. Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as onboard Wi-Fi are all included as well.
Next, the LT gets the same upgrades as the second trim on the Spark. Alloy wheels, a better stereo, and power accessories are just to name a few. You can also add the Convenience package to this trim, which includes heated seats, power-adjustability, and push-button start technology. The Driver Confidence package is also available here.
Finally, the top-tier Premier model rolls on 17-inch wheels and gets upgraded faux leather upholstery throughout the cabin. These models are more likely to be found used as they were discontinued before the 2021 model year, so you might find models with a sunroof or some sporty features.

2021 Malibu
Next, the mid-size Malibu is a great option for singles, couples, and even small families. While the Malibu is available in five unique trim levels, the powertrain may vary depending on which model you choose. Most of these sedans come with a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder motor mated with a continuously variable transmission. Since the Malibu can produce upwards of 160 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque, you will enjoy every second inside this model. The Premier trim uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that pushes out 250 hp and an astounding 260 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The average fuel economy is about 32 MPG combined (29 city/36 highway).
The base L model rides on 16-inch wheels and comes with keyless ignition/entry. You will definitely notice the large 8-inch touchscreen used to display the infotainment system as soon as you slip behind the wheel. Cruise control, advanced smartphone integration, and a 6-speaker stereo are all included as well.
Next is the LS. This version gets the onboard Wi-Fi and Teen Driver technology. If you prefer something sportier, then you may want to get the RS. It comes with 18-inch wheels, an added spoiler, dual exhaust, and leather wrappings on the steering and shift knob. Then we have the LT. This model gets upgrades like dual-zone climate control, satellite radio, and heated seats. Finally, the top-tier Premier model includes 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, and a sunroof. Inside the cabin, you will also get leather upholstery, navigation, heated/ventilated seats, a wireless charging pad, and more.

2020 Impala
Finally, the full-size sedan that everyone loves from Chevy is the last model year of the Impala. Now is the time to search for this model on the used car lot with only a few miles on the odometer. The 2020 Impala is available in two trims, each with a 3.6-liter V6 engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Generating 305 hp and 264 lb-ft of torque, you can expect to get about 22 MPG combined (18 city/28 highway).
The base LT includes 18-inch wheels, heated side mirrors, keyless ignition/entry, and remote engine start technology. Inside the cabin, you will also find dual-zone climate control, advanced smartphone integration, onboard Wi-Fi, and an 8-inch touchscreen interface. You can find these models used with the Driver Confidence package included, which added features like blindspot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors. The last trim is the top-of-the-line Premier. This trim has 19-inch wheels, comes with xenon headlights for optimized visibility, leather upholstery that covers the cabin, and a wireless charging pad that helps prevent clutter. A navigation system is included, as well as a premium Bose stereo with 11 speakers and, surprisingly, a CD player.
