2015 Chevy Corvette Performance Data Recorder Feature

When you are driving a performance-tuned racing machine like the 2015 Chevy Corvette, whether you are taking it to the track or simply showing it off around town, reliving your adrenaline-fueled experience is part of the thrill. Have you ever wondered how fast that last lap was or how you can improve your time? What was your top speed? Relive your most exhilarating drives and analyze your driving data with the 2015 Chevy Corvette Performance Data Recorder feature.

Available in ALL 2015 Corvette models, the Performance Data Recorder analytics tool allows you to record real-time audio and video and then analyze your performance with up to 30 channels of data. You can relive your fastest lap times or most entertaining road trips time after time with this innovative new feature. With four different modes, the Performance Data Recorder can dissect relevant data in nearly any driving situation.

Track Mode: Get the maximum amount of data in this mode, including speed, rpm, throttle and braking, g-force, a geographically accurate track map, lap times and start/finish lines.

Sport Mode: Sport Mode provides a slightly lower level of data than Track Mode, but will include speed, g-force and rpm.

Performance Mode: This mode will put a different focus on your driving data with 0 to 60 mph times, ¼-mile speed, lap speed and 0 to 100 mph times.

Tour Mode: Simply enjoy and immortalize your most memorable and scenic drives with a real-time recording in Tour Mode.

The Performance Data Recorder system puts focus on recording your most memorable drives or lap times and that isn’t possible without a fully-integrated, front-mounted 720p HD camera that is incorporated into the rearview mirror housing. A cabin microphone will also record every gasp, curse word and thrill-induced scream throughout your drive. Real-time performance data is recorded and analyzed by a self-contained telemetry recorder that will save data on a dedicated SD card housed in the glove box. The amount of data you can save will only depend on how much space your memory card has, which can be viewed on the internal touchscreen interface or downloaded to another device.

Another asset that adds to the innovative applications of the 2015 Chevy Corvette Performance Data Recorder feature is that all Chevy models add 4G LTE internet connectivity, so that you can instantly share your experiences on social media. You can also delve deeper into your driving data with available Cosworth Toolbox software, which breaks down driving metrics and acts as a driving coach. Stop in today and schedule a test drive in any of our current Corvette models to get a glimpse at what the Performance Data Recorder can do.
