F-22 Pilot Flies Letter to Heaven

We get a lot of funny and weird stories on this blog, but it’s not often we find one that really gets us in the heart. It happened with a story we read today though, and we here at McCluskey Chevrolet, your home for Cincinnati Auto Repair, would like to share it with you.

A young boy, just 9-years-old, lost his father in Afghanistan in 2009. Every year since then, he’s celebrated his father’s birthday by doing something nice, like throwing a small party or baking a cake. This year though, he decided to do something different. Let us here at your home for a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu tell you what.

The boy wrote a letter to his father, containing his top 10 questions. He then gave it to Anchorage, Alaska, F-22 pilot Lt. Col. Brian Baldwin to fly in a very special mission, which was to get the letter as close to heaven as possible. The pilot told the boy he’d get it as high as he possibly could, and he did just that, taking the letter far above the clouds and well on its way to heaven.

What did the letter say? Luckily, we know that too!

“Dear Dad,” it read. “I have some questions. What is it like in a tank? What is like to be a scout? How old are you now? How old were you when you died? What is your favorite food? What is your favorite animal? What is your favorite hobby? What is your favorite activity? What is it like in heaven? Have you seen what I have accomplished? From, your son.”
