Two engine options are available, including a standard 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. It produces 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. A more powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged engine is also available and gives you a boost up to a whopping 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Get all-wheel drive on any model above the L base model, and you’re all set to drive the Equinox any place you’d like to go.

The 2020 Chevy Suburban

The Chevy Suburban is a large SUV that seats up to nine passengers. It offers powerful engine options that bridge the gap between an SUV and pick-up truck. With an MSRP ranging from $51,700 to $65,500 its strong V8 engines are tough to compete with. The 2020 Suburban’s three trim levels include the LS, LT and Premier. Buyers are looking forward to the introduction of a 3.0-liter diesel engine and ten-speed automatic transmission, which is set to be offered as a standard feature. The 2021 model will be the first year of the fifth generation and is sure to set the stage for great things to come. If you want to take advantage of the diesel option, it might be worth waiting for the 2021 model. However, the 2020 Tahoe still has some solid stats worth considering.

The 2020 Chevy Traverse

The Chevy Traverse is an attractive eight-passenger SUV with impressive capability. It has a max towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds. The Chevy Trax has only been on the market since 2015, and this newest model is still part of the first generation. The Trax is a manageable size that’s easy to climb in and out of. It drives like a big SUV, with big windows and a tall stature. Just like the Suburban, it comes in three trim levels, the LS, LT, and Premier. In the LT, multiple package options make it easy to customize your SUV. The Driver Confidence Package includes rear-cross traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and blind-spot monitoring. For a seven-speaker Bose audio system and a sunroof, go for the Sun and Sound Package. Opt for the all-wheel drive version to get disk brakes in all four corners.

The 2021 Chevy Trailblazer

No look into the future of Chevy SUVs would be complete without mention of the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer. Set to be released in Spring 2020, this new vehicle introduces the world to the second generation of the Trailblazer. With a starting MSRP under $20,000, there’s a lot to like about this stylish subcompact crossover. A lot has changed since the U.S. market had last seen the Trailblazer in 2009. The old version was a truck-based midsize SUV, while this latest Trailblazer drives more like a car with exterior design elements reminiscent of the Camaro.

Drivers can connect two separate Bluetooth devices simultaneously with Chevy’s popular infotainment system. A power liftgate, along with a range of driver assistance technology, makes the new Trailblazer a driver’s best friend. As part of the generous line-up of standard offerings, the Trailblazer will include lane-keeping assist, forward collision mitigation, automatic high-beams, and a rear seat passenger reminder. A blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and rear parking sensors will be optional add-ons.

Two engine options include a base turbocharged 1.2-liter four-cylinder engine or a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine with 155 horsepower. The standard transmission is a continuously variable automatic. If you opt for the bigger engine and all-wheel drive, the transmission is upgraded to a nine-speed automatic. For off-roading edge, the Activ trim level is suited to take on any terrain. Along with roof rails, the Activ trim has more ground clearance, revised shock absorbers, and all-season tires.
