The men and women who serve to protect our country in a branch of the military, are what holds our country together and makes it what it is today. The servicemen and women risk their lives on a daily basis, and sacrifice time with family and friends, to secure the future of our country. While honoring these incredible individuals with everyday incentives like discounts at restaurants, free cups of coffee at certain cafes, and discounted auto repair ,  may seem trivial – it is the very least we can do to say “thank you.” So when big corporations like General Motors roll out incentive programs that are specifically tailored to military men and women, we think that is a pretty awesome gesture.

General Motors has just released plans to improve its military discount program for those interested in buying a new Chevrolet, Buick, or GMC vehicle. U.S. armed forces will be offered the GM Military Discount Program which offers new Buick, Chevrolet, or GMC vehicles at invoice pricing to qualified consumers. The invoice pricing can take large chunks out of the retail price of a vehicle, and when used with other incentives available to military men and women, the discounts and final price can be a steal. The new program is open to all reserve members and active duty members in the Army, Marines, Navy, National Guard, Coast Guard, and Air Force – as well as veterans that are within a year of being out of service. Chuck Thomson is the Retail Sales and Marking Support general manager for GM, and says that, “GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles.”
