Synthetic Oil or Conventional Oil?

July 7th, 2011 by

One of the questions we are asked in the service lane is should I use synthetic oil or conventional. The truth is unless your vehicle requires synthetic you are fine with conventional oil. Contaminates in the oil is what causes wear. Regardless of what type of oil you use the same amount of dirt will get inside of your engine.

One of the purposes of an oil change is to flush dirt and contaminates from your engine. Your vehicle will last much longer by changing your oil regularly than by trying to extend the miles between changes with synthetic oil. Save your money and use the recommended oil for your car.
