The new king of the midsize segment

Last week was a good week of news for your favorite Cincinnati dealer. Do you know why? Well, the 2015 Chevy Colorado was one of last week’s big debuts at the LA Auto Show. It was the debut that re-instilled the faith of many in the midsize pickup. The gang over at Autoblog put it high up their in their Top Five debuts of the week, and with good reason. Chevy’s reentry into the midsize pickup market is something that deserves a closer look, and Autoblog thought the exact same thing. They sent West Coast Editor Mike Harley to talk to Jeff Luke, chief engineer of midsize and fullsize trucks at Chevrolet.

On stage, we didn’t get too much insight in LA, and Jeff Luke goes deeper that what the lenses could cover. From the segment-leading box sizes to the fuel-saving aerodynamics to giving us insight on what this midsize Bowtie with a bed shares with its bigger brother. Luke gives us all the things that we want to know, and just how well Chevy plans to compete with the more aged competitors in this segment. By the look of it so far, we don’t think it will be too much of an issue. Watch the video for yourself below, and let us know what you think!
