Why is Chevy Silverado Motor Trend Truck of the Year?
There are a host of reasons why the Chevy Silverado is this year’s Motor Trend Truck of the Year. In fact, too many reasons to post in just one blog…so I am going to write a series of monthly blogs that will highlight and detail the eight most compelling reasons Chevy makes the best, most dependable trucks on the road today. Each blog will also contain a fact filled video on how the Chevy HD Silverado stacks up against the Ford Super Duty pickup. The first in this series of videos dramatically demonstrates what happens to a Ford pickup when it is put through the same grueling ditch twist test as the Chevy Silverado. Take a few minutes to learn how a pickup truck with a frame that is 30 times stronger and more rigid can save you money and embarrassment when you go off road to put your new pickup truck through some very real world twists and turns in this Chevy versus Ford head to head competition.
THE 2011 CHEVROLET SILVERADO OFFERS CINCINNATI RESIDENTS A POWERFUL PRESENCE ON THE ROAD
Cincinnati, Ohio 4/27/2011 – The Chevy Silverado has proven to be the ultimate truck for Cincinnati residents.
“I fell in love with the Chevy Silverado after one test drive,” said Reece Belfiore, Cincinnati, Ohio resident and Chevrolet Silverado owner. “This truck provides an excellent driving experience, many features, awesome design and styling, along with great interior space and comfort.”
Chevrolet Silverado is the industry’s most capable truck – and one of the most efficient. There are three cab styles – regular, extended and crew cab – and three cargo box lengths.
“The Silverado is the perfect truck for work or recreation. Year after year, this truck over-delivers on design and performance, while maintaining its reputation as the industry’s strongest, most dependable, and longest-lasting pickup truck,” said Keith McCluskey, McCluskey Chevrolet in the Kings Automall.”
The Silverado lineup is built on GM’s robust full-size truck architecture. It supports a smooth ride and confident handling while delivering superior capability and power. A lineup of powerful small-block V-8 engines complements the stronger chassis to a maximum payload capacity of 1,980 pounds (898 kg) on the 2WD crew cab with the enhanced trailering package.

- OnStar 9.0 system
- Revised exterior color offerings
