Chevy in 2019: Something for Everyone – Cincinnati, OH
Chevrolet has been a leader in the American automotive industry for more than a century – with so much experience you would expect them to have learned a thing or two along the way. With the 2019 lineup of Chevy vehicles it is clear they have mastered one important lesson: offer something for everyone. There are so many vehicles to choose from that doing each of them justice is simply impossible without going on for tens of thousands of words.
Fortunately for you, this won’t be tens of thousands of words long; instead, let’s look at some choice selections from the 2019 lineup to get a sense of what’s available. To reiterate: this is not the full lineup, just part of it that does a good job of representing the overall options and models available. If what you are interested in is something in between what’s here, rest assured that there is probably a Chevy model that would meet your needs.
For now, however, let’s take a look at what Chevy has to offer this year. Whether you are interested in a car, an SUV, or a pickup, it’s all covered here. There are even some specialized options including an electric vehicle and high-performance sports cars.
The 2019 Chevy Malibu
The Malibu is not the smallest or least expensive car from Chevy, but it’s a great overall option for just about anyone. As a midsize model, the 2019 Malibu offers pretty good cargo space with more than 15 cu. ft. of interior room and great fuel economy at an optimal 29/36 mpg in the city and highway. It’s certainly not a sports car, but as a four-door sedan, you wouldn’t expect it to be – there are other Chevys for that. The modern design of the Malibu looks better than ever before and really sets it apart from a lot of other sedans on the road, which seem distinctly uninspired by comparison.
The 2019 Chevy Bolt EV
Notably unique within Chevy’s 2019 lineup is the Bolt EV, which is an all-electric car that still offers excellent range and overall performance. The Bolt EV can seem small, but offers more than 56 cu. ft. of interior cargo space. While a lot of people are still unsold on the idea of an all-electric car, the Bolt EV can get up to 238 miles on a single full charge. Electric vehicle technology is improving on a yearly basis right now, so the current Bolt EV is more efficient than ever before – getting about 25 miles per hour of charging with a 240-volt charging unit.
The 2019 Chevy Camaro
Electric cars and four-door sedans are great, but if you have a need for speed, then it’s hard to beat the classic Chevy Camaro. The 2019 Camaro has numerous trim levels available and options for engines up to an available 455hp and 455 lb.-ft. of torque for track-worthy power and performance. You can get the modern Chevy Camaro as either a coupe or a convertible, and the starting price of $25,000 is quite reasonable for a sports car. There are even different options for the transmission, including a 6-speed manual and an available 8-speed paddle-shift automatic, so anyone can drive the new Camaro.
The 2019 Chevy Corvette Stingray
Not satisfied with just one high-performance offering, there is also the 2019 Chevy Stingray available for sports-car lovers. The modern Stingray has the flared design it is known for and looks absolutely stunning – plus it offers incredible performance thanks to an available 6.2L V8 engine that can provide up to 460hp and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. The Stingray is more expensive than the Camaro, starting at $55,900, but for those who can afford it, its merits and beauty cannot be denied. While it is available as a two-door coupe, it was born to be a convertible and looks stunning with the top down.
The 2019 Chevy Trax
Next up, we have the first of several available SUVs from Chevy. The Trax is a compact SUV, but there are much larger models available as well for those who need additional passenger room or space for cargo. The 2019 Chevy Trax can comfortably fit up to 5 people and has up to 48 cu. ft. of cargo space inside. With a fuel economy of up to 25/31 mpg in the city and on the highway, you get surprisingly good gas mileage from this SUV without sacrificing performance and reliability.
The 2019 Chevy Equinox
Stepping up in size from the Trax is the 2019 Chevy Equinox, which is still a small SUV but certainly has more space than the Trax. The Equinox has more than 63 cu. ft. of interior cargo space and comfortably seats up to 5 people. This is a great option for anyone who wants more of the power of an SUV, since it can have a towing capacity of up to 3,500 lbs. when properly configured, but who doesn’t need anything too big. With an available Turbo-Diesel engine that provides up to 39 mpg on the highway, the Equinox is a great option for a wide range of drivers.
The 2019 Chevy Suburban
If you want an SUV to get all the size and power they have to offer, then there is the Suburban, which is a large model that really explores everything an SUV can be. This beast has seating for up to 9 people when properly configured and provides more than 120 cu. ft. of interior cargo space – nearly double the Chevy Equinox and almost triple the interior space in the Trax. The 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine provides up to 8,300 lbs. of towing capacity, while still offering 22 mpg on the highway, which is impressive given the size and power of the Suburban.
The 2019 Chevy Colorado
The first of three pickup trucks from Chevy is the Colorado, which is a mid-size truck designed as a great option for a wide range of drivers. It’s not the largest or most powerful truck on the market, but it is designed as a general purpose truck for professionals and hobbyists alike. The 2019 Colorado has a maximum towing capacity of up to 7,700 lbs. when properly equipped and can handle up to 1,574 lbs. of payload. There is also plenty of room for customization with the latest Colorado thanks to options for either an extended cab or crew cab, a short or long bed, and either two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.
The 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500
If you are interested in a more powerful general-use truck, but you don’t necessarily need something too beastly, then the Silverado 1500 is a great option. There are five different engines available, including a 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel, and various transmission options that go with them. When properly configured, the Silverado 1500 has a maximum payload of up to 2,250 lbs. and can have a towing capacity of up to 12,200 lbs. This is a serious workhorse of a truck with regular, double, and crew cabs available as well as some options for short or standard boxes.
The 2019 Chevy Silverado 3500HD
Finally, if you need a truck that can handle basically any job you throw at it and give you incredible amounts of power, then the Silverado 3500HD is the one to choose. This monster has an available 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel V8 engine that can provide up to 445hp and 910 lb.-ft. of torque. When properly configured, you can get up to 23,100 lbs. of towing capacity with this behemoth and a maximum payload of up to 6,112 lbs. This a true workhorse designed for professionals who need a truck that will never let them down.
