The first ever bike sharing program is coming to Cincinnati, and it could be completely up and running by this summer. The Cincy Bike Share service is aimed at downtown workers, tourist, and local residents who want to see the city from the seat of a bike. People who want to take advantage of the service will be able to rent a bike from one station, and return it to a number of other stations throughout Cincinnati and its neighborhoods. There will be approximately thirty-five stations throughout the area, with 300 of the bikes located downtown, uptown, and Over-the-Rhine. Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley is working with the Cincy Bike Share organization to help fund the project, as well as get more paved bike paths funded throughout the city.
