Corvette Grand Sport?

The security around new cars has reached nearly absurd levels. Cameras are so small and secret and the internet makes media move so fast, companies must jealously guard all of their models until it’s the time THEY choose to unveil. A single slip can mean the picture is all over the internet and then a expensive reveal production you had planned is ruined. That’s what makes the picture above so intriguing. Let us here at McCluskey Chevrolet, your home for a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, tell you more.

People are speculating the above shot could be of the new 2014 Corvette Grand Sport. If it’s true, it would mean a serious slip-up on Chevy’s part, as their pretty tight-lipped about all new models, ESPECIALLY Corvettes. Is it the new model though? Let us here at Cincinnati Auto Repair go over the evidence with you.

The first piece of evidence is the silver stripes. Currently, for the Stingray, stripes are not an available option, it’s solid colors only. This doesn’t mean there COULDN’T be stripes, but it’s awfully suspicious.

The second piece of evidence is the lack of a Stingray badge. The Stingrays we’ve seen have had the badges on their fender, and it’s conspicuously absent in the other spy-pictures of the car above.

The final piece of evidence is subtle, but perhaps the most telling. The photographer claims to have seen a full car cover in the cargo area of the car pictured above…something all prototype Corvettes are known to carry.

What do you think? Is it the new Grand Sport, or are people just grasping at straws?
