Here at McCluskey Chevrolet, we love everything having to do with vehicles, and get giddy when we hear about new vehicles and upcoming debuts, so that we can pass the fun on to you! Most recently, Chevrolet has made a big announcement about the brands smallest SUV coming to the United States. If you are like most Americans and want to get gas mileage like you are driving a car, but still want to sit up high like in a full-size SUV, then the Chevrolet Trax may be the perfect vehicle for you – and we have all the details!
General Motors has announced that the Chevrolet Trax will go on sale in China and the United States next year. The parent company of Chevrolet, General Motors Co. unveiled the 2015 Chevy Trax this past Tuesday, just ahead of its New York International Auto Show debut. To put the Trax’s size to comparison, it is the same length as the VW Beetle, and shares a platform with the Chevy Sonic subcompact car. While 168.5 inches in length may not seem like a lot, we think that U.S. buyers will love the small size and functionality. The Trax has been sold in Mexico and Canada since 2012, and has had great sales numbers since then.
In the Trax interior, expect higher-end features and great standard features like keyless entry and rear-view camera. With ten standard air bags, the Trax is incredibly safe, and packs in 48.4 cubic feet of cargo capacity. Under the hood of the Chevy Trax, you will find the Ecotec 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, with a six-sped transmission. You can expect 26 mpg city, and 34 mpg highway.
