Summer Vacation

Are you going on a summer vacation this year? Can’t afford it? Gas too high? Can’t afford to leave work? Think about this…with all of our busy schedules: work, kids playing ball, etc. How much time do we really get to spend with our families – just your family? You owe it to yourself and your family to get away and spend some “quality time” with your family….no work ….no ball games, practices, camps, just you and your family.

When I was little, my family went on two vacations together. My mom, dad and my two brothers. We went to Florida in “61” and Washington D.C. in “63.” I can still remember what we did and what we saw. We had a great time. I had so much fun that I vowed to take my family on vacations every year when I got married and had kids. We have done this and continued the tradition with my children and grand children. We look forward to it every year. My point is this…we are only going to get “one shot” at this thing called life. Try to enjoy it. We don’t know how much time we have.

My mom and one of my brothers are gone now. We are only going to be this age once. Give yourself and your kids something they will never lose…memories.
