Tightrope walking is one of the stranger spectator sports. Of course you want it to go well, but the whole reason it’s exciting is that death is on the line with every wobbly step. The best tightrope walks are done across landmarks (we don’t know why), and there’s a great one coming up soon! Let us here at McCluskey Chevrolet, your home for a Chevrolet Impala, tell you about it.

Nik Wallenda is one of the tightrope kings. Last year, he crossed Niagra Falls on a 1,500 foot high wire. That particular crossing was cool, but it was spoiled a little because he used a safety harness. Like we said above, the thing that makes tightrope walking exciting is that your life is on the line, so adding a harness just isn’t the same. This year, Nik is coming back to do another huge tightrope walk with NO harness, and we here at oil change Cincinnati are truly excited!

This time, Nik will be crossing another great landmark, the Grand Canyon! He’ll be sponsoring the event himself, so there’t no one to force him to wear a harness of any kind. He’s confident he can pull it off, and we can’t wait to watch him try. You can see the stunt (hopefully live!) on the Discovery Channel in June.
