Bus Monitor Bullied To Wealth

Bullying is a growing problem in today’s society. You continuously hear stories about kids and teens getting picked on and pushed until something terrible happens. The common wisdom is to never resort to violence, the appropriate course of action is to bring the bullying issue to an adult. What happens when the adult is the one getting bullied though? Let us here at your Cincinnati Chevrolet Silverado Dealer answer that for you.

Karen Huff Klein, a 68-year-old bus monitor in upstate New York, was mercilessly taunted and reduced to tears while riding the bus with a group of middle school students. She tries to defend herself and to make the young boys behave, but they overwhelm her. The insults range from remarks about her weight and appearance to threats of physical violence. By the end of the ordeal, Karen was crying, and the boys? They filmed the whole thing and uploaded it to youtube, proud that they made an old lady cry.

Karen will have the last laugh though. The video has over a million views, and pretty much everyone is on Karen’s side. There was even a donation drive that was trying to raise five thousand dollars to send her on vacation. Public support for Ms. Klein has been nothing short of amazing though, and the donation drive has already raised over $200,000. As a bus monitor, Karen only makes about $15,000 a year, so with all the donated money, she’ll more than likely be able to retire.

What are the odds she shares some of that money with the kids?
